Aeons of erosion
by wind and water have created intricate and sensuous curving
patterns in the rock of Arizona's Slot Canyons. The ever
changing patterns of light and shadow dance through twisted,
secret places; the mesmerizing red light provides opportunities
to take exhilarating photographs of rock’s shapes
and textures.
We will share knowledge
of the best times of day to capture magical, mythical images
of light breaking through the cracks
in the canyons. This is a shooting intensive workshop. Craig
will provide hands-on one-on-one guidance in the field as
requested.
Subjects that you will
have the opportunity to photograph include: the various
spectacular red rock formations in
and around the Slot Canyons, shafts of light coming through
the
rocks, the desert landscape, sunrises and sunsets.
This workshop is open to
all photographers interested in exploring the landscape
of the Slot Canyons. You should
have a working knowledge of your camera, film or digital.
Digital
shooters must bring a laptop computer with editing software
and be self sufficient with their computer and software.
