IN THIS SEMI-PRIVATE WORKSHOP you
will explore the remarkable beauty of autumn in New Mexico,
photographing
the Land of Enchantment during the season's change of color,
texture, light, and shadow.
This workshop is for photographers who
want more personal and one-on-one help during their photographic
journey. Craig
will adjust the schedule to the needs and preferences of
the group. The workshop will be limited to four participants
and is based in Santa Fe.
Autumn in New Mexico. The last sturdy
wild flowers fill the hills. Red chili ristras rattle against
aged adobe walls.
Pinon smoke rises in the evening air.
Northern New Mexico is sand and sage,
plains and mesas, flame colored cliffs – surrounded
by sky and clouds that herald the change of time and weather.
The challenge of the
photographer is to capture the intensity and beauty of land,
of light and shadow.
You will learn or discuss: methods of
photographing landscape and architecture, how to best use
your tripod, utilizing
natural light to the best advantage, aesthetics of photography
relating to composition, color, and patterns/shapes found
in nature.
This workshop is open to all photographers
interested in exploring the diverse landscape and
architecture
of New Mexico with their camera. You should have a working
knowledge of your camera, film or digital. Digital shooters
must bring a laptop computer with editing software and
be self sufficient with their computer and software.
