Good Ol' John Wayne . . .

"There is an ol' cowboy who lives on the plains.
His horse and his doggies are his only companions.
He rides across the land and sleeps when he's able.
Looking for a new home, his landscape did change.
And as the stars rise, he sits by his fire.
Pondering the Great Lakes and his adventures ahead,
And closing his eyes as his dogs they retire.
He sings out a song which is soft and so dear, perhaps one the heavens might hear.
"Goodnight all the stars in the cosmos.
Good night good ol' John Wayne.
Many miles still to ride, you look forward to the sunrise.
Good night good ol' John Wayne."
